Upon starting my first drift at one of my favorite FAD's off the coast of Kona I was immediately greeted by 9 small wahoo. Upon letting them swim past I looked below me at about 60 ft below there was a rope tied around the chain of the FAD. I slowly breathed up and descended to the knot. Upon reaching it I saw this big guy hanging out at the edge of my visibility. I kicked a few times into the direction of where I thought it was headed and stopped when it turned and started to work its way to me. When it finally turned it was well within my range of my Aimrite Rage 115 Single Roller and slowly squeezed my trigger. Lucky I shot his spine and slowly drug him back to the surface. Upon reaching the surface, Gio was there and I handed him the rainbow runner and it wasn't until he pull it out of the water that I really saw how big he really was! Thanks Gio again such an epic trip! Joey, Jeremy and Mike we need to go again. Such an epic time!
