I was diving an area of foul near Kapiti Island between 15-25m during slack tide, with Mal. A tightly packed school of warehou came past in midwater, then another when I was on the bottom in ~20m next to a patch of reef. Unusually good visibility for the area and not the normal time of year to see warehou. All the fish in the school were large, I picked out the biggest one and shot it as they were starting to leave. Not a great shot but had no issues landing it.
