I was diving west of Key West in about 35 feet of water. When I first got in the water I saw a nice ledge underneath me and made a drop. I checked under the ledge and didn't see anything worth shooting. As I was turning around to swim to the surface I saw the Cubera in the sand a couple feet behind me. I approached him slowly and he began to swim away. I took a quick shot and fought him to the surface. Once I had him at the surface I tossed the fish in the boat.
