It was the last dive of the day on my 23rd birthday. My dad, Coert, and I were drifting a rocky channel when I came across a nice ledge. As I dove down to look under the ledge the mutton slowly swam out giving me a perfect broadside shot with my headhunter pole spear. After getting pulled around a bit, I fought the fish to the surface and bear hugged it. I waved David over and when he got to me he immediately opened the side door. I grabbed the pole spear and threw it with the fish into the boat.
