We got dropped off on the pressure side of a rock, as soon as the bubbles cleared we could see a large school of Kingfish swimming into the current below us. It was a race to load our guns, I happened to load first and dived down about 5m into the school, I picked the fish I wanted and shot. Not the best shot but solid. The fish went deep pulling my first float down about 10m till my 5m bungee went tight. I made ground on the fish quickly sliding my first float down my hard line. The Kingfish made one last solid run down to about 30m but couldn't sustain it for long. After about 10mins I called out to the boat for a second gun which I quickly loaded and swam down to about 7m and placed a good holding shot through the head of the Kingfish. I pulled it up the last 7 or 8 meters and ikied it. I then swam the fish to the boat where they passed a gaff to me and I placed it through its bottom jaw and passed it back to them and they pulled it onboard.
