I was up at Fisher’s Landing on a spearfishing trip with my family. We got into the water around 1pm; my brother Gabe, my sister Jayne, my dad and I were all targeting Tilapia. We saw a lot of small Tilapia but not any big, big Tilapia. I swam to the shore where there were a bunch of reeds. I looked into the reeds and there it was! I was staring face to face and then it swam fast around A big bunch of reeds and I had a very small window to shoot between as I anticipated it would swim right between them. I pointed my Riffe Metal Tech speargun right behind his eye and BAM! Stoned him! He got all wrapped around the reeds so it took me a while to get him untangled but I swam over to my Fox Float and strung him to my stringer.
