I could see a large school of jacks down at about 100ft. I made a dive down towards them and as I hit about 40ft I could see a pair of nice size ones cruising in from my left. I continued my dive and they came close enough for me to shoot the larger one. I landed a mid body shot and the fish took off towards the deep. I pressured the float line on my ascent to keep the fish from wrapping around the structure and one on the surface continued to pull the fish in. The action caught the attention of a few sharks which luckily my dive buddy Brian Steinhoff fended off for me. once I got my hands on the fish I used my knife to brain it and swam it back to the boat.
