Found a Baitball wide off Bermgui which had about 3 Marlin on it. After gearing up , we lost the baitball due to way the light was hitting the water but after looking for a brief 5 minutes we found it again . \ Upon entering the water i was surrounding by the fleeing Cowenyoung ( Baitfish ) and looking below i could see the marlin just cruising and keeping them up on the surface. I dove and the marlin swam straight at me but as the bait changed direction so did the marlin. I took the long shot as the marlin turned and landed the shot in the back half of the fish. The fish did not take off but more followed the bait until i started putting pressure on the rigline which is when it took off. After getting towed for what seemed like forever and slowly working the clutch system closer the fish but then it went deep where it took both bouys under. I never lost sight on the bouys and after 5 minutes they were back on the surface. I worked the clutch system again and got the fish about 12m from the surface where i dove and delivered the second shot which killed it.
