We headed out on our 26' calcutta to dive one of our favorite rock piles for gag grouper. Once anchored we began to chum with the fast current. I hopped in first and immediately saw several nice gags. My first drop I landed a 12 lb gag. Knowing how many big fish I've seen at this particular number recently I had to get back in. While working the ledge line I crept over a rock to see a large tail sticking out in the open. I lined up and stuck him downward through his tail and he went ballistic. After surfacing and getting a few quick breaths I dropped down to wrestle and retrieve my fish.
