Guiding for Rob Torelli and the diving for a cause crew, I spotted a large school of red bass swimming in the area of a good coral head 70' down. I dropped down and rested on the head waiting for the school of snapper to come within range. A large fish swam within range and I chose to avoid a headshot as to cause commotion to draw in the Dogtooth tuna in the area. Little did I know that the fish would be world record size. I landed the fish with a good fight, keeping it off the bottom. Later in the boat Rob Torelli and I figured the fish was larger than normal and should be weighed in on his certified scale.
