On the morning of March 16th, 2015 I loaded my speargun and was diving for snapper on Hannibal bank with Ian Haszlakiewicz and Peter Correale on The Bullshark, a 34’ Sea Vee, captained by Antonio Murray. While diving through horse-eyed jacks and snappers, I saw an unusual fish in about 65 feet of water. The fish appeared to be a species of jack and I shot it through the center line with a four banded 160CM Andre gun. The shot held as the fish sounded and I was able to quickly pull it up to the surface. I subdued the fish and put in onboard the Bullshark. A note on the weighing: This lesser amberjack was weighed in calm seas on a 130 foot landing craft.
