We were diving for Yellowtail at San Clemente Island and after not seeing any fish for awhile, I swam over to the kelp to escape my boredom. Low and behold, I saw a monster Calico from the surface that was sleeping in the kelp at about 25ft. I thought there was no way I wouldn't spoke it as I sunk down for a shot. But this fish must have been very tired. In the end, I feel kinda bad, and kinda sad. And maybe I shouldn't have shot this breeder. Yet I can't take it back. The damage is done. And to compound the whole thing, I didn't even beat a women's record, because there wasn't one-- so I decided I might as well try to start one.
