First time spearfishing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We were up at a small lake named Rifle Gap, elevation 6,500 feet. The water temperature was 54 degrees, and the visibility was 10-15 feet. I saw my fish sitting in the lake grass about 15 feet down. I held my breath and sunk down until I had a clear shot and took it! This was my first freshwater fish.
