We had been diving for a few hours and really hadn't seen anything. I was on my way up from a dive and noticed something under my buddy. Kris never looked down and started swimming away. I took a quick breath and kicked a few times to catch up with the fish. He turned to look at me and I let the spear go. He was close enough part of the handle went through him. Very little struggle, and since Kris didn't notice what was going on I put the fish on his stringer. On the way back he swam past his float and really had no idea that I put the fish on there. He looked so confused. haha
