i got in and just started drifting, letting the current take me while i looked for fish. i wasn't seeing much after 5 minutes i started swimming back towards the boat and ended up seeing some small hogs playing in the grass and then a very nice mutton came out of no where and was checking out what the hogs were doing. so i decended very slowly to try and not spook the snapper as i went down he started slowly swimming away and once i got to the bottom i started following him from behind waiting for him to turn broad side and give me a good shot and sure enough he did and i stuck him in his back right behind his head with my polespear and it was lights out. i hit his spine and he dropped instantly. i grabbed him and swam to the boat and it wasn't until i got in the boat that i realized how big this fish was i was very excited and so were my friends.
