Toby, Kris, Trevor, and myself traveled 40 miles off Marco Island to a super secret spot that turned out to be incredibly fishy. All of us had pole spears in the water and were surrounded by schools of massive amberjacks as soon as we entered the water. I promised them repeatedly that if invited I would not bring my pole spear and in no way attempt to beat Toby's record AJ from the day before. I however could not help myself and smashed this AJ through the side of the face with my Headhunter pole spear. The Showstopper sliptip penetrated all the way out the gillplate on the other side of the fish. An epic battle ensued where he tried multiple times to kill me before I eventually got a death grip on the gills. We had plenty of other fish that were actually edible that day so we donated all of the amberjack fillets to the local homeless shelter.
