Arriving at what we call “The Ship” in B2N, we saw few birds pinching the water eating small mackerels. Usually this is a very good sign and we started to get excited. Emiliano went first, Luis followed and I went in last; Jeito, the skipper, was left to take care of the magical African Pompano. We where diving with a nip tide, therefore everyone were running around the ship without any current to bother us. Suddenly, I hear a shot! Was Luis, he had just nailed an amazing blue parrotfish on the 8Kg mark. I thought to myself that it could have been a world record and I was mentally congratulating him for the catch. In the meanwhile, Luis’s parrotfish got stuck between two rocks at 22m. He was exhausted, so I decided to help him out, took a long breath and dived. Reaching the bottom, I tried to pull the fish out, but my right eye spotted a big bluesh/greenish fish coming to check things up: it was another blue parrotfish, larger than Luis one. I forgot about Luis fish, turned slowly, and hit the target. Unfortunately it was not the best shot ever, and my fish did exactly what Luis fish did, and got stuck. It took me 30 minutes to take hum to the surface, and another 30 minutes for Emiliano to take Luis fish too. I had never seen such size for a blue parrotfish
