We were drift diving approximately 18 miles West South West of Staniel Cay, near the edge of the tongue. The seas were relatively calm and the water had a light current. I was hunting with my carbon fiber pole spear in roughly 40' of water. Visibility was about 75'. I dove on a lone, small coral head, roughly 10' tall and 7' in diameter. As I looked under the head, I saw this large parrotfish. I got a clean shot in his head. It was a struggle to get him out of the coral head. He gave a tremendous fight but gave up quickly.
