Hunt Description: On July 21st, we were in about 40-45’ of water off Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas., doing free drift dive. I was freediving with Cameron Kirkonnell, both using Pole spears with 75’ Float lines and floats. Visibility was 60’+, we were on the surface when 2 yellow jacks swam below me. They were approximately 10’ off the bottom and swimming at a slow speed. I dropped down behind them, the larger of the 2 jacks turned about 4 feet in front of me and I shot him with my pole spear. I used the float line to bring him to the surface and placed him in the ice box when the boat picked me up. We immediately took measurements (see photos) and weighed the fish. Once we were at the dock, we took the official weight (photos attached.)
