After many days of bad weather conditions, that sea was finally flat. We did a warm up for a few dives and headed to the reef off shore. The images on the sonar as we approached were very encouraging. Bait fish everywhere. I dived heading to the swallow part of the reef at 27m. On my way to the bottom, I spotted the fish at the limit of my visibility, moving around. While on the sea floor I picked a spot that was hidding my body and just stood there. Few seconds later, the fish approached and I managed to place a distand shot. It's reaction was very strong, as it was trying to get rid of the shaft. So I dragged it close to me with line of the reel, grabbed it and brought it to the surface on my emersion. The scars on my wetsuit from that decision was the price that I gladly paid in order to secure the catch.
