The fish in this area were extremely flighty as the water vis was a hazy 2.5m. Slight movements were making them spook. Unfortunately, barramundi are found in crocodile waters, so hunting these fish also means keeping your whits about you. I had to stay on the surface and make really slow movements to land one. As it swam underneath me I stayed dead still, then as it turned to face me I turned slowly lined it up with my speargun. As it flinched to swim away I took the shot and luckily it was a spine shot to reduce the commotion to pull the fish in.
