I’m really grateful for this catch and the whole experience that came with it. The water was clear, and there’s nothing like just laying on the bottom, waiting and hoping for the right fish to come by. I had already been in the water for a while, seeing plenty of decent ones, but nothing that really caught my eye. That’s just how hunting goes—it takes time, patience, and a little bit of faith. Eventually, that patience paid off, and I was lucky enough to have this one swim right into range. It was an incredible feeling to finally land it. Not only was it a great eating fish, but it also ended up being a solid record—something I’ll always be thankful for and proud to look back on.
