Morning dive. Fish mixed in with others of smaller size. Pole spear penetrated fish all the way to the handle, which in combination with size and strength of the fish led to a large exit wound. The slip tip never even had a chance to disengage from injector rod before I swam towards the fish to bear hug it, surface & secure the catch. Full fish will be treated with respect & enjoyed by family & friends. Will never forget it.
