George drove the four of us to the dive spot and anchored the dinghy. We all got in the water. Kaci was my dive buddy and watched me dive down on the mutton. From the surface, I spotted two large mutton snapper and decided to dive down. I dove 20 feet to just off the bottom and when I turned horizontal, I looked up to see a school of 30+ large muttons swimming towards me. I picked one to shoot that was swimming towards me and he turned away from me as I pursued. Luckily, he turned broadside and gave me a shot. My spear went through the body just behind the top of the gills, north of the peck fin. I then pulled the spear towards me to grab him by the throat to swim him to the surface. Once on the surface I swam him about 20 feet back to the dinghy and threw him over the side.
