I was hunting on Horseshoe Reef which is about 5km South of Ledge Point and 4km out to sea. The reef comes up shallow and I swam into the shallow water to look for Baldchin groper which often hide in caves. I shot one and had it on the spear when a shoal of Shark Macherel circled me. I had to first string the fish I had onto my floatline before I could relaod my gun. Luckily a while later the shark mackerel school came around again. There were around 15 in the shoal. I shot a good shot and played the fish carefully as I was not sure if the spear was set properly. I was aware of sharks as I had just spotted one a while earlier. I managed to subdue the fish after a good fight and swam back to the anchored boat to stow it in the hatch. i have a video of the exact measurement but it is bigger than the specified megabytes. The fish ruler is 90cm that it is lying next to.
