I was on my boat with my boyfriend Matthew and a group of friends (Michael, Keith, Matt, Kat, Natalia and Monica). We pulled up to a spot to dive and Matthew jumped in to help set the anchor. He yelled up to us that there was a big triggerfish under the boat, knowing that I love eating triggerfish. I jumped in the water with my Headhunter Nomad Roller pole spear and my friend Michael jumped in the water with his underwater camera. I did a dive on top of the fish as it was distracted picking at something on the bottom. As I got close, the fish saw me and started to swim away, but I was able to get a secure holding shot and bring the fish to the surface. I was right under my boat, Sail La Vie, so I put It on the swim platform and then realized how big It was! We wanted to weigh the fish on land, so I took the fish in the dinghy with Matthew, Michael, Keith and Kat over to a nearby sandbar and got the measurements and photos.
