We had stopped at a spot to do some exploring but the area seemed pretty dead. I wasn't even sure I'd find something for dinner. I took a random drop by a boulder and a huge pearl oyster caught my eye so I turned to examine it. I just happened to look over my shoulder and caught the glimpse of some nice sized snapper coming in to check out what I was so interested in. So I resurfaced, did a breath up, and took a dive back down behind a boulder. I dusted a little and did some grunting and the same school of snappers came right in. There were several and they were nice size. I picked out the biggest one and pulled the trigger. It thrashed a little as I pulled it in and I saw that my flopper was not engaged so I gave a few kicks grabbed the shaft and pushed it through the fish to prevent it from slipping off. From there I was able to get my hand in the gills and my dive knife in its head. I swam back to our sailboat and handed the fish up to Kyle.
