We went to a sunset diving to Conquista Agraria it’s a fishermen town nearby that its 30 min from La Paz, we were scouting some marks near the area looking for groupers, it was almost the start of the grouper season and we were choosing the perfect spots for diving this 2020 fall. This day in particularly we didn’t have the best weather conditions, there was like 9 feet of visibility and 18 Celsius the water on a summer on La Paz that was sick. We were diving one of the last spots that day it was around 6 pm, there was a lot of bait so literally between the bad visibility and the bait sometimes we weren’t able to even see the reef, then on my first dive in the spot I realize about a big shadow that looked like a Jack Crevalle to me so I didn’t pay too much attention, on the second dive I saw the shadow doing circles around me when I could see clearly that wasn’t a jack crevalle I thought it was too late to make the right shot, but I could manage it, the rope started running through my hands harder than I spected, it was a 8 min fight until finally I could get this dream fish in my hands, this record means a lot looking at our actual country situation, lots of thanks to my friend Jose and Gabriel.
