I was hunting in the reef and spotted this steephead looping around the coral. Initially he stayed out of range so I turned my attention to other fish. On my last dive for the morning I dropped down onto the coral to watch the steephead. This time he didn't move out of range. I landed the shot and the fish took off with my spear, under a small ledge. Unsure if the shot would hold, I swam down to the fish to untangle him from the reef. He quickly stopped fighting. I gently brought him up to the surface, ikied him in the head and swam him back to the boat.
