I was in the water off San Clemente Island, after seeing meter marks on boat. I dropped to about 40-50 feet and was circled, then the fish split off, and this one came back in on me and I shot. My buoys tombstoned and I proceeded to bring up to shooting line and clip off. I swam back to the boat and got my second shot gun a Riffe series 3 and swam back to the fish after which I dove down and second shot it. I brought it up then, grabbed the tail with two hands and swam it back to the boat!! Happy girl for sure!!!
