On Wednesday morning September 19, I was diving murky water rigs in search of mangroves and tripletail. I had already shot a 15 pound tripletail so I had plenty enough tripletail to eat. At this point I figured I would dive in search of a much bigger fish. I dove down into very murky surface water and it opened up to about 5’ of visibility and I saw this fish inside of a platform and shot it right behind the gills. The fish put up a fight and took a second dive to get untangled and out of the platform. When I surfaced I knew I had a true giant of a tripletail. We took pictures and headed elsewhere in search of other fish, as we had more than enough white meat to go around.
