Diving off of west end in a spot we expected to see a few more hog fish we ended up with a yellow jack Andy this Cero. We anchored near the reef and swam over. I was still testing my new pole spear when my dive partner Stephany shot a yellow jack. I watched and made sure she had the fish secured and handed her my knife when I noticed the cero coming in. After a quick breath up I cut the fish off and it turned into my path for an easy shot that entered just behind the pec fin. I allowed the fish to pull me around using the polespear rubber to soften the tension. I was able to gill, brain, and swim the fish back before any sharks gave us much attention.
