I flew to Florida from California to fish for weekend one of snapper season. At the end of the last day, we came across a floating object and Zack Spurlock and I decided to jump in to see if anything was around. The visibility was only about 5 feet but I swam down to 20 ft and I saw the outline of a fish but couldn’t tell what kind at first. It turned broadside, white against the dark green. I realized it was a triple tail and I took the shot. This was my first tripletail and an exciting end to a full weekend of fishing.
